great sand dunes 2015

Posted on 2020-05-072020-05-07 by Sameer Oza

I heard there was a big storm coming and drove my Jeep 250 miles to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in December 2015. The drive was a bear, US285 was mostly unploughed. When I reached the park early in the morning, I had the Sand Dunes to myself for almost 2 hours. Windchill was bad enough that I could get my hands out of the mittens for only long enough to press the shutter and they would freeze. But it was worth it!
